Hampton Cove Golf Course -Short, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
This is one of three 18 hole course at the Hampton Cove Golf Course facility. Hampton Cove is part of Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Hamton Cove's three 18-hole courses are The Highlands Course, The River Course, and The Short Course.
The Short Course at Hampton Cove is very open and links-like, with water in play on 11 holes and a large double green accommodating the 10th and 17th greens.

The short course at Hampton cove is a wonderful little track. I play it regularly when I'm short on time or something is going on at the other 2 courses. It's secluded with no houses on it and has nice variations in terrain and is always in great shape. It's where I took my boys to play when they were little and not ready to walk the big course. You should know that all of the greens are elevated so that adds an extra level of challenge. You will not roll any balls onto any greens. Also the distances on the course can become somewhat repetitive with many white tees in the 140-160 range and many orange tees in the 160-180 range. I don't have a scorecard handy but it seems like you could be in those ranges for as many as 10 or 11 holes. We always alternate tee boxes to improve the variety, playing orange white orange white or sometimes orange white teal. And we have a great time with it.
